Liquid / Liquid Separators

Suitable for removal of solid particles and contaminant liquid particles from two immiscible liquids (i.e. water from diesel). Liquid particle removal divided into two broad categories of operation. The first is gravity separation which achieved by the difference in density of liquids. Having required retention time in the separator is crucial for gravity separation. Coalescing elements are used to make small droplets of contaminant liquid phase into larger droplets so that they can be easily removed by gravity settlement or using filter elements. Two stage or three stage separation is used to achieve the required downstream specification. In some application cartridge or bag filters used up stream of liquid separators to improve the lifetime of coalescing cartridges and reduce the operating cost.
