Used in oil and gas, petrochem and water resource industries. Any pipeline get internal scale, wax and other deposits over time. This will reduce the flow and increase pressure loss through the pipeline and increase energy required for pumping. In order to keep the pipeline flow efficiency at its optimum level regular pigging operations are carried out. Installed on pig launcher or receiver indicates departure or arrival of pig. Non intrusive and intrusive types are available to be selected for any application. When requested intrusive type pig indicators are supplied with special isolation valve so that pig indicator can be removed for maintenance while the line is under pressure. On gas pipelines often several pig indicators are used to monitor the passage of the pig.
